My retirement trip to the southwest United States in the spring of 2014 was spectacular.  We visited all five national parks in Utah (Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Bryce and Zion) plus Grand Canyon in Arizona, and The Great Sand Dunes National Park in Colorado.  We also visited Antelope Canyon outside Page Utah.
